UNIFRAX | Website Redesign
[PRODUCT Search functionality]
When Unifrax (now Alkegen) came to Crowley Webb to rebuild their website, we kicked off the project with five half-day discovery sessions. We talked with existing customers and clients, sales reps, and members of the Unifrax leadership team. One of our key takeaways coming out of each of these sessions was that each group of stakeholders believed the current website was not user-friendly, particularly when it came to locating specific products.
That’s why we decided it was paramount to build a simple, yet sophisticated product search tool that users would see as soon as they landed on the Unifrax website. There were two primary groups who would be using this functionality: external customers (who preferred to start their search by industry) and internal sales reps (who wanted to begin their search by product line and category).
After phase one of a product search is initiated, we provided additional filtering options, product spec sheets, relevant safety information, and other supporting documents that the reps needed to make a sale and the customers needed to inform an eventual purchase.
Below, you’ll see a quick video of how this search functionality looks when a user initiates their product search by industry.
